Courses and Registration

The Wilmette Institute offers on-line courses on the Bahá’í Faith and from the perspective of the Bahá’í Faith.

Basic courses on the Bahá’í Faith are generally offered in June and December of each year. These include an introduction to the Bahá’í Faith, how to study the Bahá’í writings, a survey of Bahá’u’lláh’s revelation, and Bahá’í theology.

Some forty additional courses, repeated in cycles of one to three years, are also available. The categories of courses include the Life and Writings of the Central Figures of the Bahá’í Faith (Bahá’u’lláh, the Báb, and ‘Abdu’l-Bahá); the Life and Writings of Shoghi Effendi; Bahá’í History; Bahá’í Theology; Religions and Scriptures in Bahá’í Perspective; and Teachings of the Bahá’í Faith—such as the Bahá’í community; Bahá’í administration; the harmony of science and religion; the individual, marriage, and family life; health and healing; sustainable development and the prosperity of humankind; and world civilization. From time to time new courses are added to our offerings.
